My first litter!
Well my first litter was an accidental one! My english staffy bitch that i had had her second heat before i realised and Tyson did what he was destined to do lol!
2 months later after an emergency trip to the afterhours vet when she went into labour and could not push the pups out on her own she had 6 happy healthy wee pups, all brindle in colour but ranging in tines and all with white markings
She did a great job raising the pups but she self weaned them at 4 weeks old so they were then my full time job! lol
At 4 and a half weeks we sadly lost one of the wee girls... we had nicknamed her Fatty due to the fact she was the biggest and fattest right from birth. We did not know she had a problem till she went onto solids. She could not swallow anything thicker than milk due to the fact the her food pipe and windpipe had a slight problem but it would require surgey to fix the problem and the fact that she was 4 and a half weeks old ment her chances of surviving the surgery were not too great. We made the sad but right decission to put her to sleep
The other 5 pups were then all ready to leave by 6 and a half weeks, they had the all clear from the vet so off they went to their homes (they were all sold and had deposits placed on them by the time they were 2 weeks old).
They are all doing great and are happy hypo one year olds now!!!
heres a few pics of the pups
Mum and babies (we no longer own mum, she needed more room to run than our place had so she now lives on a farm )
The pups
5 of the pups approx 3 weeks old (6th pup is being held by his buyer so isnt in pic)
RIP Fatty
